Welcome to a new School Year!

The children have settled in well and are enjoying their classrooms, teachers and topics! There are lots of exciting events coming up for key stage two. In fact some Year 6 children have already undertaken their cycling proficiency and are now ready to ride their bikes safely on the roads! The entire year group enjoyed the annual 'Junior Citizen' event this month too. This involved learning more about road safety, fire safety and how to look out for hazards in the home. The children have also enjoyed assemblies and workshops all about dinosaurs; we're sure that they'll be able to recall some of the facts that they learnt!

As usual, please be aware of our upcoming class assemblies this term; the children love sharing what they've learnt so please come along and see a glimpse of what has been happening in the classrooms.

At the end of this half term we will be celebrating Harvest with our Harvest Festival at St Mary’s Church; expect lovely singing from the children who are cur

rently practicing their songs each week.

The children will be set spelling, times table and topic homework each week. Please look out for this in your child's planner and support your child in their daily reading.

We are happy to be at the start of a busy and fun-filled year of learning. If you have any queries or concerns, do not hesitate to pop in or make an appointment with your child's class teacher.
